Show Notes

Hey friends!

On this podcast, we will be talking about all thing’s crime. From murder, to missing persons, to mass shootings, to just plain old spooky! Layered with some lighthearted humor...and some not so lighthearted humor. Please be advised that this podcast is filled with adult content and explicit language; listener discretion is advised.

This week, at request, we are discussing the Richardson Family Murders. During the late hours of April 22nd, 2006, in Medicine Hat, AB, 12-year-old Jasmine Richardson and her 23-year-old boyfriend Jeremy, killed her parents, Marc and Debra, and 8-year-old brother Jacob. Jasmine and Jeremy met within the goth community in town and started a relationship after flirting at a punk rock show. Despite heavy protests from family, friends, and Jasmine’s parents, Jasmine and Jeremy continued to see each other secretly. As their relationship grew, Jasmine began to discuss murdering her entire family with Jeremy and convincing him that’s what they needed to do. What pushed them to do it? How were they caught? Listen to find out!

Please take time out of your day to remember Marc, Debra, and sweet little Jacob.

Trigger warning: this case involves discussion around death of a child, graphic description of crime scenes, an inappropriate relationship with a minor, and very strong language.
